For a couple of years, I have considered blogging. I set up a site with Quarto and published absolutely nothing to it. I have some fear that I will do the same with this site.
The heart of the matter, I think, is a tension between the desire to write lazily (which is to say, without research and without citations) and a desire not to be criticized for writing lazily.
Ultimately, this tension is pretty irrational. It is pretty silly to let some imagined critical audience hold you captive. Second, realistically, virtually nobody will be reading this. Third, it is probably good to calibrate to the actual purpose in writing up any of this.
The stuff here is what I find interesting, amusing, or useful, and if others find it so, cool, and if not, then so be it.
